Did you know that SHSU has its own Quidditch team?
For those of you who have somehow missed the world wide obsession of all things Harry Potter (final movie coming out on July 12th! WOOT!), Quidditch is a semi-contact sport that is normally played by wizards and witches on broomsticks but is now being played by real life Muggles. Over 200 colleges are associated with the International Quidditch Association including our very own SHSU team. This version of Quidditch incorporates brooms, dodge balls, and a little bit of wizardly foot action.
Visit their facebook page to find information about their upcoming meetings. This is a great way to meet some new friends and to also get in shape in a FUN way.
Also, check them out at Comicpalooza the weekend of May 28th! We will be covering that event in the HuntsvilleGTFO section, but we will also stop by and cheer them on during their match with Texas Tech and Texas A&M. Break a broomstick guys (that means good luck)!
